Mathieson gets first win in relief
Scott Mathieson earned his first win in Japan after pitching 2 innings of relief in the seventh and eighth innings against the Hiroshima Carp. So far he has yet to give up a run in eight innings of relief. Mathieson should get a chance to start if he continues to pitch well.

Jon Bauer didn’t allow a hit (7IP 0H, 7K 4BB) and RBI triples from Greg Rodgers (2H 2RBI) and Preston Kokotailo (1H 1R 1RBI) plated 3 runs in a 4-0 shutout win over the Tritons in Tuesday night action. The win moves the young Blaze to a 3-0 start on the season as they travel to Kelowna this weekend to take on the A’s in a 4 game series beginning with a Saturday doubleheader.
